The premise of Excavator Boom Stick modification is that the force from the boom stick and loaded attachment should not exceed the standard excavator setup. If you increase the boom arm length, that means lifting capacity needs to be reduced according to the lever principle. A Long Reach Boom Stick with a big bucket will make the excavator unstable and put both the excavator and operator in dangerous conditions.
Shorter boom/arm options have an opposite effect. Shorter Boom Arm/Stick can work with a bigger bucket or other attachment and it has greater arm crowd force.
